| PrivateBiscuit1 10/26/20 2:23:21 PM #294: | DAY 26: The Curse of Downer's Grove On Hulu This is written by the same guy who wrote American Psycho and I'm convinced the book has to be at least a little bit better than this movie. The movie follows a girl in Downer's Grove who believes she may be the next to die in a curse that a senior dies right before graduation each yeah. It's a shitty movie with some bad acting (mostly due to the script) and just... not very convincing characters. Nothing feels natural or real, nothing is compelling, and it's just a completely depressing story that I don't understand what the appeal was supposed to be. It's an interesting idea in concept, but they just... screw it up by making it not interesting. I felt nothing about this entire story or the characters in it. It's not completely terrible, but it is clearly low budget. It's just a completely unremarkable, messy film. Not worth watching. Rating: 1.5/10 --- I stream sometimes.
