Also today I watched After Midnight, which was a cute, neat little movie. Does the Babadook thing where the creature is kind of a representation of the protagonist's inner struggle (in this case his insistence on keeping things the way they are and not leaving his comfort zone even though it's potentially killing his relationship) only maybe it's NOT??!???!? Not that I mind, I do tend to love movie that play with that idea smartly, which this one mostly does, even if it takes longer than needed to get its point across. Overall I enjoyed it, especially the goofy thrill of its ending, even if I saw it coming.
Horror movies need to stop fucking killing the cats though, goddamn.
