Top 5 fifth entries in horror franchises
  1. Resident Evil (remake)
  2. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
  3. Silent Hill: Origins
  4. House of Dracula
  5. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning
It is glaringly terrible how little good fifth entries actually exist in horror series.

top 5 fictional works that actually scared you
  1. Frontier(s) - I've seen this twice and let me tell you it did not get any easier the second time. Absolutely one of the most sickening films ever, but I do think it's still a very excellent film.
  2. Silent Hill 2 - The atmosphere is genuinely too much to bear sometimes. I'd also say being in the wrong head-space when playing this game is not a great idea.
  3. It (1990) - Call me corny or what have you but this film gave me bad coulrophobia when I was younger and I still have nightmares when I watch it now.
  4. Inside - Another fucked up French special similar to Frontier(s).
  5. Channel Zero: Butcher's Block - I couldn't believe how effective this actually was. Incredibly frightening mental health-related themes.

'Scariest' songs from non-horror video games.
  1. Ecco the Dolphin's opening theme - I could imagine this opening a 1970s horror/thriller movie for sure
  2. Those Chosen by the Planet (FF7)
  3. River Twygz Bed (Super Paper Mario)
  4. Lavender Town
  5. Cemetery Stage (Gex)

Resident Evil bosses
  1. Verdugo (RE4) - As long as you don't cheese it with a RL, Verdugo is by far the most intense, challenging, and draining boss in the series. It's so atypical for the series, even its own game in a way, where most bosses are just stand and shoot affairs with a little repositioning, but Verdugo is more of a mind game and survival endurance.
  2. Nemesis Courtyard (RE3) - It's crazy how much a little change to your health meter can change the whole context of a fight.
  3. Albert Wesker Ruins (RE5) - This strikes much of the same itch as Verdugo. It's a great fight actually designed around your partner as it doubles as a Bird Lady fight too. And just the lore of it all gives me the chills!
  4. William Birkin Stage 3 (RE2) - A simple but classic fight, that can destroy you if you're not paying attention.
  5. Jack Baker Garage (RE7) - You know in general I tend to love bosses that are just the same size as you and act intelligent. This is on top of an already amazing introduction to the Bakers and clues you in slightly more to what's going while being an entertaining fight with small but exhilarating set pieces.

Fight scenes from horror literature
  1. Constantine vs. First of the Fallen (Hellblazer)
  2. The abstract battle of Dream vs. Choronzon (The Sandman)
  3. Apocalyptic rock fight - (IT) - natch
  4. Roland against the citizens of Tull (The Dark Tower)
  5. The entire ending of Summer of Night
Hope some comic picks are alright!
