I've been on the hunt for co-op roguelites to play with my gf, and have found some others that actually do an ok job. Children of Morta barely touches on the repetitive nature, it just tells a story as you progress through various biomes. Moonhunters has a really cool idea where you replay the same five days over and over and learn more about the world and characters.
