Jeremy Irons is playing an OC stand-in. Batman continues to fetishize his "one rule" and has internal conflict about whether or not he should kill Superman. I'm not asking if it would have been better or worse. I personally would hate to see Batman v Superman as a sequel to The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight.
