| KCF0107 03/21/21 5:18:06 AM #169: | Alternate Jake Hunter: DAEDALUS The Awakening of Golden Jazz (PS4) As a fan of the franchise, I have to say that I ultimately found this underwhelming. The presentation of a fully-movable 360 camera with visual quirks to make it seem more realistic (peripheral vision, more blurry the faster you move it, etc...), but that is obviously just a minor aspect. The story on paper was cool, but it was wasted on a mostly nothing cast. The pacing always felt off thanks to so much waste and repetition. They would refresh the scene constantly because a character "left." They would have the main character comment every time they went to a location, even if you had been there five times before, and they didn't bother to automatically put you inside of the building, meaning you got another loading screen and monologue text box. There's more, but those were what stood out to me the most. I will still probably buy any more Jake Hunter games that release out west, but if that was the final one, I regret that the final one that I played wasn't Ghost of the Dusk. --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ...
