Topic	the lotr movies aren't good

Shelob and her predecessor, Ungoliant, are embodiments of gluttony more than anything else, great devouring defilers of light. Their roles in the story revolve entirely upon their ability to consume and poison whatever they please. You can see it in pretty much every description of both characters.
