| Topic | My parents are moving to a different house in the same neighborhood. |
| ParanoidObsessive 07/27/21 2:57:44 PM #9: | My parents did it when I was a kid. Basically, as their finances improved, they wanted to move to a larger house. But they didn't want to move out of the neighborhood because most of their friends and close relatives lived right there. So they just moved like four streets over. I could see an older couple who are done having kids downsizing for the opposite reason, saving money and making it less of a hassle to clean/maintain the house because it's smaller. I could also see older couples wanting to move out of a house with an upstairs to a one-story house so they don't need to constantly climb stairs if they have health issues. But they might not want to move out of the neighborhood, because they're happy enough there, know everyone there, or otherwise just don't want to go somewhere else. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
