During an eBay transaction, I had given up on an item being lost after about 2 months. I had given the customer their money back a long while ago, but eventually it did end up being delivered, and without any prompting or obligation they were kind enough to send me a check for the item.
Once in high school I didn't have money to get on a bus home, and initially the driver told me to get off as they are well right to, but then she told me to get back in and said it's alright anyway. Little stuff like this I always remember the most.
Similarly, there was this other time much later on where I was on a bus, meant to get a transfer, but the old driver was just getting off so she told me to wait and tell the next one. For whatever reason the next one didn't want to give it to me, but literally the whole bus came to my defense and eventually the bus driver had no choice but to relent. Like some sort of movie scene, I swear.
I was out in front of my building with my family doing a garage sale when the landlord came around, I thought he was gonna tell us to pack it in (we had no permit or anything) but instead he gave us this antique thing he had lying around to try and sell. I don't even remember what it was but we did sell it for like 50 bucks. That was extremely unexpected!
One of my good neighbors always dropping by with food and other supplies too when he has extra.
