The only times I hated the comedy was anytime Bienfu or the TOITLEZ showed up. Arise is very self serious, and most of the humor is Alphen/Shionne misunderstanding each other. It's kinda flat, but I appreciate the serious story enough I don't need the comedy right now. Something tells me that is gonna change when the final three characters I get show up. Right now, Alphen, Shionne, and Rinwell are very stiff in a good way.
