Based on Soseki's account, Shamspeare drank the tea right from the start so Shamspeare would have known it wasn't poisoned. Especially if he never drank any tea around 1am. So he likely knew Soseki was innocent from the start. But if it wasn't Soseki, Shamspeare would have to conclude he had no idea how he almost died. Although since this is Shamspeare, maybe he just wasn't think about that at all. In regards to Soseki and Shamspeare. It's a bit a of shame regarding the whole murder thing. It seems like they might of gotten along pretty well otherwise and both of them could have used a friend. Shamspeare inviting Soseki to his room wasn't a trap or anything since Shamspeare had no idea about the poison at the time. I mean, he then tried to kill Soseki shortly afterwards but business is business. >_> --- My bracket looked like random picks compared to his.
