It's like you have the assassin exchange on one hand showing how toxic this relationship is (which itself is commentary on British/Japanese imperialism) while on the other you have this extremely healthy friendship and a skillful working relationship. Completely agreed. Loved the Mikatoba twist a lot. I was half-convinced Mikatoba was going to be a victim and/or a villain. Him being alive was great. Him being Sholmes's partner is delightful. I also love how there's that cute Takumi touch of Susato being a massive fan of her father's adventures. G2-4 and G2-5 are split odd, yeah. I think they wanted a bombastic intro to G2-5, but it doesn't lead to a good split case difference between the two cases.
