When K Rool is retreating after destroying his ancestral home, in the SNES version he just sails into the sunset, laughing, leaving the screen with a poignant sunset. In The GBA remake, however, Funky Kong appears, saying "I don't think so, dude!" and carpet bombs K Rool, ending the game with a war crime and setting up DKC3 where K Rool is supposedly deposed. Good guy, all in all.
