That's the way the news article phrased it, but by their own admission that's not how it went down. He suggested it, they shot it down, and he kept pushing. Oh, also this... He was first taken off the air in May after slurring and stumbling over his words while reading from a teleprompter, and had only recently returned after an eight-week suspension. Reading between the line, we can kind of guess what happened, right? This guy is probably an alcoholic and probably got belligerent when they told him no. The station finally had enough and tossed him. Maybe that's not the way it went down, but it seems the likely scenario to me. Do you really think he just said, "Hey, guys.
