Because I watched this dummy get his claw stuck on the side of the couch, attempt to jump on the couch, and then tumble down because his claw was stuck the entire time. He also has multiple scratching posts scattered all around the apartment; he just chooses to shred the corners of the couch. Stupid little jerk. Winston once got his claw stuck in the metal mesh on the front of my subwoofer under my desk. He tried to not sell it. It was really hard to get out and was terrible for us both.
