There's a fun game buried under all it's bullshit.

It's honestly really sad, because the combat is great. But at the same time they do SO GOD DAMN MUCH to remove the agency from players.

What's that, you're combo-ing an enemy? Well, too bad, they randomly have armor and hit you with a move that knocks you to the ground. And while you were hit with that, another enemy hits you while you were already stunlocked. And then another enemy threw a grenade that locks you in place unless you mash square.

It's just absurd. Even the new expansion was dumb as fuck in the new additions to enemy effects. There is one affect that will blind you and add irritating vision effects to the screen. Said enemies that add this effect hover around you and move extremely quick, so you have to get lucky to hit them during this. And if you're playing a ranged character? Lol. Good luck.

It's a game chock full of good concepts but horrible execution. The combat feels so satisfying because it had the same combat director as God of War, and that dude left awhile ago.
