From what I understand, a group of doxxers has been harassing the Vshojo girls and impersonating the company, contacting applicants pretending theyve been successful. Vshojo have been working with the police in trying to catch the group and were advised not to make anything public to avoid tipping off the doxxers or encouraging retaliation.

Nux, who knew about the situation did his own digging and found the identity of one of the doxxers and made a video about it. Before he did, he spoke to Vshojo and both the company and several of the girls directly affected asked him not to go public with the video. He then tried to agree some terms and conditions for publishing it, Vshojo still declined, so he published the video anyway.

Vshojo initially thanked him for his efforts, though it was seemingly reactionary as they then deleted the tweet and released a more comprehensive explanation of their cyber security efforts. Every Vshojo girl came out publicly chastising Nux for releasing the video as it put them in danger and he was putting clout chasing above his friends and cut ties with him. Nux then claimed he hadnt been told not to publish it (even though he said he had been asked not to in the video itself) and eventually privated the video.

Opinion seems split between people defending Nux and saying Vshojo should have told applicants that there was a risk of being contacted by an impersonator and people defending Vshojo keeping quiet and following advice from the police as now catching the rest of the group will be even harder.
