My main complaint with the movie is that
the fake villain was more interesting than the actual villain. Yes, Ben Kingsley wouldve been fucking amazing as the Mandarin. Hes set up as a generic Bin Laden type terrorist at first, but they couldve expanded on the ten rings in the second half to make him more of a physical threat to Tony. It would make a great plot for a What If? episode.
But yeah, the generic revenge villain trope is cliche and boring. Though I like Killian more than most people.
The Extremis gimmick is neat and hes the only MCU villain that literally breathes fire. And its funny at the end when hes shirtless and he has these dragon tattoos like a Mandarin poser would.Having said this, I cant knock the movie for the potential it couldve had. What it did was still ballsy and entertaining.
