We'll see how I rank everyone at the end of it. I have a lot of development to see still. It'll be tough matching Abyss's group, which has four who are incredibly strong, one who's great, and one who sucks. I think you can probably guess who that last one is.

I learn about dual-layered barriers and hope those are some sort of maze-type thing. I really miss there being puzzles in games like this, because just hitting switches to progress is boring. Eleanor is skeptical about the Reaper's Curse affecting coin flips... and about Laphicet seeing the compass as proof of manhood. I don't buy that last part, either, but apparently something about malak wavelengths affects things like that. It's different than science in the world I live in, that's for sure. And Eleanor's skepticism and ignorance is getting her to snitch to the Abbey. She also wants to steal the coin because it's a priceless object that she regurgitates facts about, including that it bears the picture of a prior Tales villain, Dhaos.

Apparently "ugly" is enough description to help Laphicet know what flower he's looking for. It's so subjective... as is "deceitful coexistence." Eleanor is starting to realize that there's common ground between her and the others. She also tells Bienfu that no, they're not married... LOL, this never gets old! And there's a lot of overlap despite this being a bunch of misfits. The group also shares common enemies, which is precisely why this bunch is traveling together. Selfish coexistence, eh? They're all self-serving, yet their goals overlap. It creates an interesting dichotomy that makes for a good party. ALSO: Magilou's doll looks like a Minecraft creeper, which makes this little winquote sketch with Laphicet and Eleanor all the funnier xD

I've been keeping Magilou in my party solely for the winquotes. I've also kept Eleanor in because her Inspiration cures paralysis, which I've been afflicted with a lot in this area. Laphicet starts to sync with his compass after I beat up two very weak thugs, and that's a sign that there's some really weird stuff happening around here. Velvet thinks it's the daemon. She's probably right.
