Alrighty, THIS time I'm hoping to have a more substantial update, but considering I'm just gonna be beating my way through this dump, it probably won't be. I should really sit down and play for a 3+ hour period tomorrow instead of just a little bit at night.

Laphicet notes that this place is a dump as well - it's a depressing place from the source of malevolence. The place was designed not for beauty but for endurance. It's weird how these are called "ruins" when they seem so intact. There are theories that the Coliseum is up ahead. Velvet doesn't want to waste time there, though.

We run into a Dire Foe and this fight is ROUGH. It takes a while but I manage to knock it down. Rokurou subs out for Laphicet and I forget how to even do that because I haven't been using it - Velvet has two levels on practically everyone. I find a red nor doll in an out-of-the-way corner while scouring the place, so... at least we have that. And since this place and the other ruin look very similar, we may find one of them there, too. They keep talking about what it looks like but I don't follow since I can't see the thing having something off about it. Eizen talks about how his Reaper's Curse got his sister into trouble and that's why he left her - so the curse wouldn't affect her anymore. Good brother, so long as this curse is real.

I fight the exorcists and this fight is not easy because of glitches. Rokurou just stands there in the corner for no reason for a little and multiple times I lose any ability to move, defend, or, well, anything, like the attacks were intended to hit me. These thugs mentioned that they told Medissa "the truth" (possibly about therions, or possibly about her daughter) as a means to control her, but they won't be doing that since they no longer exist. I believe this includes the snarky woman from earlier. Oh wellz, one less Karen employed by the exorcists.

At any rate, I decide to end outside the boss door (I only have four Life Bottles... welp) for the night. Hopefully Medissa will be receptive and will also be a good stepmom for Kamoana. Pretty obvious where that storyline's going, don'tcha think? Kamoana misses her mother, who was murdered by a heartless exorcist. Medissa misses her daughter, who was also brutally murdered by an exorcist. It's... the kind of therapy both of them need. That and maybe eating exorcists' souls.
