No. The taste of cornbread is different from a corndog. Same with the texture. So no, it is not even close enough due to how people do corn dogs.

Because corndogs are fried and cornbread is baked. That's why the flavor and texture are different. If you took the corn meal batter that someone was using to make corndogs, put it in a muffin tin and baked it, you'd have cornbread muffins.

Frying and baking make a big difference with taste and texture.
