Whose agenda? Whose profit? How do these interests stack up against the multi-billion dollar animal agriculture industries that have tremendous influence over several governments?

Also, there's no "the" vegan diet. A vegan diet only tells you what someone doesn't eat, and that's animal products. Outside of that, there are many of the same variations of omnivorous diets. You can do low-carb/keto, low-fat, paleo, raw, whole food, etc. You can be a junk food vegan who only consumes tendies, hot chip, and soda. These are all vegan diets but vary in cost quite a bit.

It is my personal experience that a whole food, plant-based diet is extremely affordable and accessible and even if I weren't vegan for other reasons, the financial incentive alone would keep me probably 90% plant-based.
