So, I am furious.
Someone tell me if I should be furious.
I got Covid... went the entire pandemic without it. Now I have it.
Let me tell you a little story about how I am pretty sure I got it.
- CDC changes guidelines to 5 days to return to work.
- Guy informs work he tested positive for covid MONDAY afternoon.
- Guy calls HR monday and they talk on the phone. HR asks him when his symptoms started. Guy not wanting to miss work because he needs the money says he started with symptoms THURSDAY... despite having worked Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday. Says that his initial result was negative when he went to get tested on Friday and his PCR didn't come back until monday with a positive. His wife is currently in the hospital with Covid right now.
- HR lady says he can come back to work on WEDNESDAY.
- I have to work with him in a small room a foot away from him Wednesday night, despite me telling him to just go walk around and stuff and let me just do the work without him in the room (him refusing).
- I start getting sick Thursday night at work... inform others and isolate myself in a room for the rest of my shift and go get tested after work (positive).
- Now I will have to miss at least 5 days of actual work for the guy who they basically had give me covid to miss no work and come back early.
Let me know if I should be furious before I fucking go apeshit on this HR lady.
