A good steak never needs sauce. For a rib eye I like to use just simple Lawry's Seasoned Salt. It enhances the flavor of the meat without overwhelming it.

If it's a tough piece of meat, I think I'd go with something like a Swiss steak, which is beef that's been tenderized by pounding ("swissing") then braised with vegetables such as tomatoes, carrots and onions.
