Some announcements from the live letter:
-Trust system will be added to story dungeons for 2.0-4.5 throughout the 6.x patch cycle
-MSQ roulette dungeons will be revamped. Will become 4-man dungeons, and some of the fights will be removed and reworked into solo duties.
-Cape Westwind will be reworked into a solo duty.
-Trusts might be added for some older 8-man content
-Patch cycle is being slightly adjusted. Patches will now be every 4 months instead of every 3.5 months.
-DC visit coming in 6.18
-6.1x will have PvP rework. 24-man raid. Dragonsong Ultimate. Ultima's Bane Unreal. "Variable difficulty dungeon" for 1-4 players. Housing. Hildibrand is coming back. And there will be the start of a new side quest series that will go through the entire EW patch cycle starring Tataru. More trials.
-6.2 8-man raid series. Island Sanctuary. Relics. Deep Dungeon. More trials.
-6.3-6.5 Two More "variable difficulty dungeons." More 8-man and 24-man raids. Ultimate #5. Updates for Island Sanctuary. More trials.

There may be more things coming that they didn't talk about. They said they are planning a BLU update for EW but they don't know when it will happen.

-7.0 will see a major graphical overhaul. Character textures and skin materials are being upgraded. They showed some mock ups and they looked really nice.
-Environment and lightning engine upgrades. They showed off some scenes like Titania under a new lightning engine and they looked good.
-Shadows and grass generation upgrade. Shadows should be more accurate, less blocky, more objects and characters will have shadows. Grass won't look pixelated. Will look more smooth and full up close.
-Not all characters, gear, areas, etc. will be updated at the same time. These updates will come gradually throughout the 7.x patch cycle as the team can finish them. So there might be instances where say Raubahn's model is updated, and the Sultana's isn't for example. So they might look strange next to each other. But their goal is to eventually move everything to the new graphics pipeline over time. Which, considering how big the game is, and that at the same time they'll also be making new expansions and patches sounds like an unbelievable amount of work.

-They have a 10-year roadmap for the game going forward. New expansions, patches and content are being planned out. They are hoping to keep the game running for at least 20 years.
