TopicIs it possible to still lose weight if the scale is high?

I weigh myself daily. On April 7th, I weighed 200lb. On May 7th, I hit 195lb. Between April 7th and May 7th I fluctuated between 195lb and 205lb. Obviously things like Easter parties and end of the semester parties had the weight going up the days succeeding them. I'd say I ate poorly maybe 1/3 of last month and that's why I only lost 5lb that month.

HOWEVER, despite only hitting 195lb on May 7th, I have already weighed in at 192lb today. This is surprising, because it usually takes one week for me to lose about 2-2.5lb.

Is it possible I lost more weight in the past month and I was just retaining more than I thought?
