I feel like I dislike that video for the same reason I dislike "romance type 1" anime. I can only watch someone struggle with the same problem so many times before they drive me insane. For me, romance in anime is like a spice. Having it by itself is awful, but in small doses can be a great compliment to a good main dish.

There's also the real problem that there just isn't 12 episodes worth of romantic development you can have before dating without incredibly frustrating melodrama that makes no sense and ruins every character.
