The first one I find interesting because when you directly translate a lot of names here, they would come across as hippy names in English. Ex: Sakura (Cherry Blossom), Aoi (Blue), Yuki (Snow), Hanna (Flower), Sora (Sky), etc. Usually they use different kanji than the one for those words for their name, so its not quite a one for one translation, but phonetically thats what their names are saying. My students all have uniforms so I dont get to see them wearing funny English shirts, but Ive seen a plethora of the English shirts for sale in stores lol ... Copied to Clipboard! |
