Well, for starters, it's not the Supreme Court pushing for a federal abortion ban, nor were states' rights actually the basis for overturning Roe v. Wade
In both regards I never said it was. I expect cases are brought before them and the justices decide based on what the laws say. Just like any court is suppose to.

This is a distinction in characterization. They may not have stated that as their ruling but it is the result.

In that case I expect any document asking for marital status would be a violation of privacy as well. Including the complication to taxes that you mentioned.
