ParanoidObsessive 10/07/22 3:16:28 PM #4: | GanglyKhan posted... Hmm. I still don't know how I feel about these crossovers. I know how I feel about them. I think they absolutely suck, and deliberately avoid any set involving them. But I think most new sets in general suck, so it's not really a sea change or anything. Though I think the idea of putting M:tG into D&D bothered me more than putting D&D/Warhammer/etc into M:tG does. But part of that might be because I think Ravnica is a shit setting. I might have been less annoyed by it if it was pre-Revisionist Dominaria or something. WotC feels like it's kind of self-destructing at the moment. Like they've realized the gravy train has a very finite end coming up very, very fast, and now they're panicking and trying to squeeze as much out of the current D&D fad as they can before it dies off again. Tabletop roleplaying in general and D&D specifically has always been a bit cyclical. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard! |
