Meanwhile in Europe, going across a couple of countries to Spain and France and Italy is little more than a short to moderate road-trip, train trip, or very short flight away. The only people that can short hop to the United States are Canadians, Mexicans, and Caribbean folks. And they do visit, but thats a much smaller number of travelers than holidaying Europeans. I don't really understand why you're putting more value on international tourists than domestic. Plenty of Americans travel within the country and their money is just as good.
