I remember the hype for this episode being so big that an article about it even showed up in the newspaper, which my dad read to me the week before it was set to air. I was so excited to see it and find out who the new White Ranger was going to be, though in retrospect, I should've known it would be Tommy all along. There'd already been an episode earlier in the season about him losing his powers for good, and I figured they'd find a way to bring them back, but it was still amazing to see Tommy, the former evil Green Ranger, become not only the new White Ranger, but the leader of the team! And of course, the episode was a two-parter, and Power Rangers two parters always got me hyped back in the day. The monster of the day was a fun one too, Nimrod and its two partners gave the Megazord a good thrashing, but in the end, Tommy saved the day, we got to see the epic Mega Tigerzord in action, and Bulk and Skull even tried to free Rita from her dumpster, setting up some fun storylines for later. I do look back a bit sadly on this old classic after the recent tragic death of Jason David Frank, but I still have a ton of fond memories of the greatest Power Ranger of all time, and this is where Tommy finally became a full-time member of the team, making it a landmark in Power Rangers history.
