| Topic | Hollow Knight is a pretty fun game so far |

Was way too linear for a Metroidvania Hollow Knight really sold me when I realized there were branching item paths necessary to beat the game the first time and you could really carve out your own path. Unlike most bad metroidvanias which are linear except powerups, or good metroidvanias where you can sequence break but eventually you do need to come back for everything in some order, in Hollow knight you really can just go different places and end up at the end of the game.
