Show: Once Upon A Time
Original airdate: November 30, 2014

"Elsa's gonna get out of that urn, and when she does, she's gonna take back the kingdom and kick you and your brothers back to the Southern Isles, which sounds lovelier than I bet it actually is!"

As much as I loved the movie Frozen, I was somewhat skeptical about Once Upon A Time bringing in the characters, especially so quickly after the movie came out. My fears were a bit assuaged when I learned that it was the showrunners who wanted to bring in Frozen and not Disney, but even then, I was skeptical... until I saw Elsa and Anna, played perfectly by Georgina Haig and Elizabeth Lail. Lail's performance as Anna was especially fantastic, it was as if she leaped right out of the screen, and following her adventures throughout the season provided some much needed fun inbetween the fairly serious happenings back in Storybrooke with Elsa and Emma. Indeed, I desperately wanted Anna to reunite with her sister, and at one point the show even implied that Anna might be dead, but thankfully, that was not the case, and in Fall, their long awaited reunion became a reality! And yes, it did involve Anna and Kristoff getting kidnapped and locked in a treasure chest, and Elsa and Anna's magic bringing the chest to Storybrooke, but it was as touching a reunion as it promised to be... unfortunately, it was cut somewhat short by the evil Snow Queen activating the Spell of Shattered Sight (one of the more dramatic and terrifying curses in the series), but this episode proved to be both intense and heartwarming, leading into the thrilling conclusion of the show's surprisingly fun Frozen arc.
