Show: Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Original airdate: February 21, 2017

"This is not a sacrifice play. You know why? Because I will beat them, you hear me? I know it, if for no other reason than this: through all the insane crap we have gone through, the one thing I've known without a doubt, the whole time, is that you and Fitz belong together."

This episode was filled with so much tension and emotion, the culmination of the LMD saga so far, with nearly every SHIELD agent replaced with LMD robots, and Simmons left in a fight for her life as she tried to find the people she could trust. At first, she believed Fitz was the only one left with her, but he turned out to be an LMD as well, and her reunion with Daisy, who she initially believed was an LMD but turned out to be the only agent left besides her, is one of my favorite moments in the series, with Daisy bringing Simmons back from the brink of a near breakdown. I'll be honest, as cute as Fitz and Simmons were as a couple, I actually wanted Daisy and Simmons together, even if I knew it wasn't going to happen. Perhaps the closest thing we ever got to a Skimmons (Skye/Simmons, Skye being Daisy's name before) scene was that reunion/breakdown as the two hid from their LMD pursuers, a scene so tense and emotional I honestly wanted to believe Daisy was going to grab her and kiss her right there, even if, again, Simmons was in a couple with Fitz (and as the quote indicated, Daisy was always their biggest shipper). Still, this episode was awesome, Daisy and Simmons were both so strong, and the episode ended with the incredible scene of the two women putting themselves into the simulation to rescue their trapped friends. I loved the LMD saga of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it had one of the most amazing villains in AIDA and some of the most intense episodes of the series, with Self Control being the most intense of them all.
