"You can't escape DESTINY, Mr. Leomon!"

I unexpectedly fell in love with this adorable Digimon Tamers episode that sees Jeri chasing after Leomon in an attempt to become a Digimon Tamer. In the meantime, there's plenty of cute Calumon antics, and even some exciting battles with one of the Devas, with Leomon fighting to take down the evil Kumbhiramon. It's the start of Jeri's journey toward becoming a proper Tamer, and we get some really good scenes of her sweet and happy nature (obviously this is before the latter part of the season, in which the writers seem to delight in torturing her). While nothing truly major happened in this episode, and it seems like a filler episode (which it's not, due to the defeat of one of the Devas, Leomon's appearance, and Jeri getting character development), sort of a Digimon-themed slice of life in which Jeri gets more focus than our usual main characters. As it turns out, it's quite entertaining to see Jeri and Calumon interacting so much, and Jeri and Leomon also contrast quite well, foreshadowing later events. I just found this episode incredibly charming, a true standout episode of Digimon Tamers, and one I happened to like a lot more than the more eventful and action packed episodes later on. Chalk it up to my weird tastes, I suppose.
