This is my ranking and I will rank as I see fit, and in this case that means ranking an entire session of one-off characters into a single slot.

Our quest to find allies in the Doom Patrol led us to a place called Midway City. Anyone familiar with the Doom Patrol knows things involved with them are rarely straightforward or how they initially appear. Sure enough, we come to Midway City to find it overtaken by beings that defy any law of reality. Damn All, a terrifying giant who peers down at us from above with many eyes and a mocking grin. His wife, Darling-Come-Home, a woman with a lightbulb for a face who resembles classic housewife stereotypes. Inner-Child, a flying baby with no face that would chase us around. Seriously, everyone and everything here was straight nightmare fuel. Everyone, of course, except Scott Fischer.

Scott Fischer was an original member of the Doom Patrol, a very young man who claimed to recall dying but still found himself halfway into the mortal plane, able to speak with us and assist us in our journey while remaining incorporeal. Said journey lands us in Mentoville, a 50s-era black-and-white neighborhood where all the PCs are put through mundane tasks that continue to shatter reality. An ex-Doom Patroller named Vortex forced to act as a neighborhood dog. Bones transforming into umbrellas. Windows serving as portals. Time freezing and repeating.

All the while Damn All, Darling and Inner Child watch our every move, the threat of death looming over us should we act out of turn. As we unpack the mysteries of Mentoville, various things come to light. Damn All, Darling and the creepy flying faceless baby are all the imaginary friends of Dorothy, a powerful meta from the Doom Patrol who had the ability to bring the beings to life, and all of Mentoville is a manifestation of the mind of Mento, the world's most powerful psychic, whose mind had been overtaken by some mystic painting.

Ultimately, it was the destruction of that painting that freed us from Mentoville, along with Mento, Vortex and several other of Mentoville's victims. All except Scott. As the fictional figments of Dorothy's imagination were destroyed, it was revealed that Scott's incorporeal form, a recreation of Dorothy's memory, was one of them and our newfound friend and ally was destroyed as well. So if you feel like calling this a ranking of one character, I guess you could call it Scott's, but ultimately all four of them are the key components to make up the campaign's best fever dream.

Hint for #30: This character is shorter than any of the PCs
