I was in this boat until Christmas, when one of my friends bought the new Xbox for his son. Mainly because his son was pestering him to get it so he could play Minecraft with his friends. I'd probably own a PS5 by this point if not for the fact that a) various shortages have made them a bitch to get, and b) every PS game worth owning has been getting dual release on the PS4 anyway. Conner4REAL posted... Within the next two gens consoles are going to price themselves out of the system anyway. Until SteamMachine or something similar actually succeeds, this is unlikely. Like it or not, PC gaming is still relatively limited to specific demographics. Especially with a majority of people leaving PCs behind entirely for phones for general Internet usage. Consoles fill a gaming niche that mobile doesn't (hence Nintendo's experiments with the Switch).
