My friend called this the best character action game since DMCV, and I have to acknowledge that it's possibly better than Bayonetta 3. Airheaded "future rock star" Chai (He doesn't know how to play an instrument) accidentally receives superpowers when his MP3 player is grafted to him alongside a mundane cyborg arm, and is therefore caught up in the schemes of an evil robotics megacorp. This means music combat! I've seen a number of games attempt this "matching the beat while fighting" concept lately, but this blends the two perfectly, so it doesn't feel like fighting while also keeping track of the beat so much as always fighting to the beat and trying to keep your inputs to the beat when possible. There's so much to the combat system that it may take a while to grasp all the abilities even after you unlock them. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes character action or feeling the beat.
