If you play normally (as in using no exploits, like that save scum tactic, or DLC), I'd say Engage is the most difficult FE since Radiant Dawn. Really pushes your strategizing to its limit on Hard/Maddening. It's no Thracia 776 but it's probably the hardest released in the West so far.
