I think they retired the character too soon. I get why they did it. It was an opportunity for Disney to add another female hero to the lineup and honoring the recently deceased is, well, very profitable.

I would have liked to have seen an in-costume cameo from Black Panther in another movie or two just to give him more screentime than two short films. But it is what it is. If the estate of Chadwick Boseman is happy with the decision, I won't be the one to protest it.
