| Topic | Playing golden eye made me realize fps games have been terrible past decade |

FPS went from Doom Clones, then Goldeneye and Half Life turned the genre on its head and now were at a strange place. The way I can best describe modern shooters is like a roller coaster or walking theme park ride. Its all linear progression while events happen around you. Shooters went from: Shoot from one end of the level, get the key and shoot to the other end. To: Complete the objectives in this area and find the exit.
