Major news sources certainly aren't bias free, but there are a number of processes (formal and informal) in place to check what they are saying...even if it's only a newspaper of a different polarization. Random unaffiliated sources on the internet with no known check processes are much more likely to have blatantly incorrect information. It sounds like you trust the latter simply because anything must be better than the major sources with their known problems? That's throwing the baby out with the bathwater: unknown problems are typically far worse. Getting people to disbelieve the main sources of information in our society because of their imperfections (and to instead believe much less accurate sources because "they're all wrong so you might as well go with the news you like") was Trump's greatest "success". --- Pronounced "Whup-pot".
