I just find that season 1 was all about askaladd (which was amazing) and season 2 is doing a great job giving us what would be a fantastic character arc about redemption but ruined by a foolish conclusion, which leaves us with a lack of action. You just can't be a pacifist in the world they live in. If his father hadn't been a pacifist, literal thousands of people wouldn't have died.
