Since I actually missed the topic entirely last week, I listened to Man Made God. I don't want to offend anybody, but to me it sounded like the most generic metal music possible. It being the highest ranked song off the album, I really don't feel like I missed anything. I don't want to say metal is bad, especially since I have a lot of respect for the technical skills of metal musicians. But as a genre, to me, metal is the equivalent to a math class.
