It's hypothetically completely possible to replace all the jobs with AI so nobody needs to work, which would be great, but there's a substantial amount of middle ground between now and then where everybody still needs to work, but AI has taken so many jobs that the vast majority of people can't, and those deciding whether or not to replace jobs with AI will just continue to enjoy all the power that gives them without ever deciding to replace themselves. --- This is my signature.
