Team Sora's argument:

The name of the game today is divide and conquer. Following a simple plan, Sora and friends are going to split the enemy team up, take them out in a series of 3v1 duels, and go home early enough for dinner. Let's go over this step by step:

STEP 1: The Setup

This match takes place in The Oldest House's Containment Sector, as seen in Control. It's an eldritch office building with lots of spooky shit in it, none of which is too relevant in this particular match due to how advantageous the starting position of the team is. Enter the Panopticon.

The Panopticon is pretty much a prison block for eldritch objects. It only has one way in, through a walkway hovering in the void flanked by two massive indestructible black stone gates, and it's an immensely vertical, cylinidrical location that stretches on at least several dozens of meters up and down into the void. As you can see in the video, there isn't much room to maneuver in the bridges leading from one side of the Panopticon to the other. It's a nice and open locale where fliers can pick landbound enemies off at leisure. It just so happens that all three of the characters on Team Sora can fly.

STEP 2: The Small Fry

Selvaria is the one to go first. Sephiroth in 7 Remake has telekinetic power great enough to fling whole buildings. It's child's play for him to wrench one of the bridges off its supports and throw it at the invaders. This may not kill Selvaria (she's fast), but it'll completely landlock her. No way can she clear the gaping void afterward. With her taken care of, the team is cleared to proceed to the next step.

STEP 3: The Division

Zero will likely be able to climb up the walls to join the fight. Unfortunately for him, it's gonna be slow going, and his main buddy in this enterprise is Kefka. Kefka, the mad clown god with a hair trigger temper. Sephiroth and Jesse can shoot him with laser beams, spells and sword waves to draw his attention. As soon as he gets hit, he'll fly off the handle in a rage, and fly up to punish the upstarts who dared challenge him. With their combined efforts, Sora, Sephiroth and Jesse can get him down fairly quickly. Maybe not necessarily before Zero can get up to whatever level of the Panopticon they're fighting near, but fast enough that he'll be heavily wounded by then. And Kefka and Zero have no healing. The 3v2 isn't a great look for them.

STEP 4: The Mop-Up

Kefka's fall, whenever it happens, spells doom for his team. Zero's great, but not 'defeat Sephiroth and Sora together at once' great. Not when Sora manhandled a half-dozen clones of Master Xehanort in puppet bodies more or less alone, and not when Sephiroth casually fought Cloud, Aerith, Barret, Red XIII and Tifa at once without breaking a sweat. It's a lopsided matchup, and once Zero falls, Selvaria's death is a fait accompli. A series of split duels are the way to go here, and there's no real path to avoiding them for Team Kefka.
