There are vertical slabs, piston moveable tile entities(chests and furnaces and the like!) blocks can be broken by 1/8th cubes. New spleaf block that breaks when you stand on it. NBT code blocks. You can turn yourself into other mobs. There are growing and shrinking potions. You can change the environment colors like leaves, water, sky, fog, etc..
