In some ways this felt like this could be a series finale. I obviously would be disappointed if it was, but it just gave that vibe. Like maybe Mando would appear as a guest star in future series but his story is done. I think more likely it's a springboard for the next story arc, since I believe I remember reading that the showrunners see the Mandalorian as a continuous story with no end in sight. Though the exact meaning of that could be left up to interpretation I suppose.
