It's really insane that Emmett Till's family found an unserved arrest warrant for her in recent years, but they refused to arrest her because they didn't want to bother her. Is it insane? They probably have come to some sorta terms of forgiveness (within themselves, not forgiving her directly), know that she's an old lady about to go, and also it's more powerful to show they could but didn't. Kinda really accentuates the innocence of Till. And, imagine the racist backlash and narrative they would get from nutjobs, just kinda further harping on the same ideology that got Till killed in the first place. --- 1 Like 0 Comments ...
